What is a Poker Run
A Poker Run is an organized event where riders must visit several checkpoints to draw a card. The object is to have the best hand at the end of the run. Our poker event will also have drawings at every checkpoint to increase chances of winning.
Registration
Pre-registration will be available 30 days prior to the event start. The first 50 registrations will receive a custom commemorative challenge coin.
Cost
$35 online or pre-paid
$40 at the door
$5 (each) for additional poker hands
$15 for a commemorative T-Shirt
Proceeds
This poker run is a fund raiser for the VFW Post 9644 Relief Fund which helps veterans and their families in immediate need.
Location
The run will start and end at VFW Post 9644 at 2680 W. Hampden Ave, Sheridan, Colorado 80110. All raffle/drawings will be held at VFW Post 9644.
Agenda
Registration starts at 8:30am with the run starting at 9am. The last checkpoint closes at 1pm. All cards must be returned by 1:30pm for the drawing that will be held at 2pm at VFW Post 9644.
Route
The route will be given out the morning of the Poker Run.
Conduct / Safety Gear
Appropriate safety gear (helmets, jackets, goggles, etc.) is recommended for all riders. The poker run is not a race, the challenge is to have the better hand, not better speed.
